Bader Abu Ghalyoun, MD Cardiology Dr. Ghalyoun is one of Dameron Hospital’s newest interventional cardiologists, recently joining Pacific Heart and Vascular (a service of Dameron Hospital). He is a graduate of the University of Jordan School of Medicine in Amman and held his internal medicine residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, in Paterson, New Jersey. His general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships were also served at Saint Joseph’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds many professional memberships. Dr. Ghalyoun has many published works in the medical community. He focuses his practice in the areas of cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, electrocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Tarig Samarkandy, MD, FACS Bariatric, minimally invasive and robotic surgery Dr. Samarkandy is a general surgeon who specializes in bariatric surgery and is the director of Dameron Hospital’s Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery Program. He is also the chair of Dameron’s Robotics Committee, providing oversight of the hospital’s new robotic surgery program that uses the latest da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System acquired earlier this year. He is a graduate of King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia and served his residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton. Dr. Samarkandy conducted his internship at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and his fellowship at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Dr. Samarkandy is board-certified and specializes in minimally invasive, bariatric and robotic surgeries. Service with smile and so much more. See page 12.
