Dameron Hospital would like to introduce some of our newest physicians and highly qualified professionals who recently joined our medical staff. Your health is in good hands. Maria Currie, MD, PhD, FRCSC Cardiothoracic surgeon Joining as our newest cardiothoracic surgeon as part of the Stanford Cardiac Surgery Program, Maria Currie, MD, PhD, FRCSC, received her medical degree from Dalhousie University Medical School in Halifax, NS, Canada, and her PhD in biomedical engineering at Western University in Ontario, Canada. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and is a faculty member of Stanford’s Cardiothoracic Surgery Department, where she specializes in cardiothoracic transplantation and minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures. Tony Ha, MD Radiologist Part of Central Valley Imaging Medical Associates, Inc., Tony Ha, MD, is Dameron’s new medical director of Radiology. He is board- certified in diagnostic radiology and is board-eligible for certification in vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Ha received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego and served as Chief Radiology Resident at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. He holds memberships with the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Los Angeles Radiological Society. Eric Cornwell, MD General surgeon New to Dameron Hospital, Eric Cornwell, MD, is our latest member of the Dameron Medical Group. As our medical director for Surgical Services, Dr. Cornwell brings with him years of experience, including in general surgery, women’s health and urology. He received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed his internship and residency at U.C. Davis Medical Center. Dr. Cornwell is board- certified with the American Board of Surgery and holds a fellowship with the American College of Surgeons. Brian Sakamoto, MD Radiologist Also part of Central Valley Imaging Medical Associates, Inc., Brian Sakamoto, MD, joins Dameron as its new assistant medical director of Radiology. He completed his residency at Saint Louis University Hospital and earned his medical degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He has also served as a radiology body imaging fellow at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. Dr. Sakamoto is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and holds memberships with the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology. We have a new look!
