Dameron Hospital | Health Outlook | Summer 2019

2 HEALTH OUTLOOK Dear friends and community members, The long, warm days of summer provide us with the opportunity to spend more time doing the things we love, especially if you like being outdoors. This issue of Health Outlook is focused on helping those of us who want to enjoy a level of health that allows us to get up, get moving and get happy. We hope you enjoy this issue, which includes information on services we offer that can help to restore the mobility and stamina you need to take advantage of our beautiful days and starry nights. A new chapter of life and love One of the highlights of working in health care is hearing heartwarming stories about how we make a difference in our patients’ lives. Sometimes we even deliver care that has a profound impact on two partners in life. Our feature story about the Ogaards reveals how our Stanford Cardiac Surgery Program and our Rapid Strides Accelerated Recovery © Knee Replacement Program enabled them to continue adding new chapters to a love story that spans a lifetime. We are honored to have had a role in their journey together as they experience the joys of rediscovery. These are the kinds of stories that make us so proud of being a part of Dameron Hospital every day. Help us make a bigger difference Another sign of summer is the preparation already underway for our annual Golf & Tennis Classic, one of the Dameron Hospital Foundation’s major fundraising events. It’s a great excuse to get some fresh air and exercise and mingle with the nicest people around. Funds raised are earmarked for a new permanent MRI center on our campus, which will provide state-of-the-art imaging for our community. We hope that you are able to enjoy your best life during the long days of summer. And if you ever find yourself facing health challenges, rest assured that Dameron Hospital is ready to provide compassionate care and medical expertise to help get you back on track.
