dameronhospital.org 11 Remodel project’s enhancements ▸ ▸ Higher efficiency LED lighting for a brighter, yet warm feel throughout the second floor lobby, hallways and patient rooms. ▸ ▸ New sound-absorbing, USDA-certified bio-based antimicrobial ceiling tiles that contribute to less outside noise. ▸ ▸ Upgraded furnishings to provide greater comfort to patients and their families. ▸ ▸ New hand railing and bumper guards in all corridors for increased safety. ▸ ▸ Non-slip, no-wax, wood-simulated vinyl flooring that incorporates Nano- silver sterilization technology and is antistatic, antifungal and antibacterial to ensure a cleaner, more sterile environment. “We’re extremely excited about what this new waiting area and the upcoming expansion of our Fast Track will provide to our patients,” says Lorraine Auerbach, Dameron Hospital President and CEO. “In addition to increasing our overall capacity to accommodate our patients, this ED renovation project is a true investment in the health of our community because it allows us to provide timely, compassionate care in a state-of-the-art emergency facility.” Fast Track expansion: coming soon The ED waiting area and second-, third- and fourth-floor upgrades are just some of the many improvements that are being made as part of Dameron’s modernization plan to completely refurbish the hospital over the coming years. The next phase of renovations includes an expanded Fast Track area, which will be double the size of the previous area. The ED’s new waiting area provides an open concept, promotes speed, increases efficiency and enhances patient-centered care.
