Dameron’s Telestroke program with Stanford Medicine also provides 24/7 communication with stroke-trained Stanford neurologists, so patients can always be treated quickly to preserve brain function in the crucial early onset of stroke. INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (ICU)/CRITICAL CARE UNIT (CCU): Our 12-bed ICU and 12-bed CCU patients have an entire multidisciplinary health care team, which provides post- procedure recovery and general medical and surgical critical care. These specialists include physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pulmonologists and social workers who are trained, critical care specialists. WOUND CARE: The wound care specialists at Dameron have extensive experience with some of the most advanced treatment options available for healing wounds. EMERGENCY SOCIAL WORK/CARE MANAGEMENT SERVICES: These services are provided around-the-clock for patients and family members admitted through our facility. Our care team offers comprehensive counseling and crisis intervention services. DECONTAMINATION ROOMS: These rooms are designed for patients who have been involved in chemical spills, or who have highly infectious diseases. Emergency medical services personnel bring these patients directly into the decontamination room through a special entrance for the protection of other patients. WANT TO KNOW MORE? Patient-centered emergency care Dameron’s Emergency Department was designed with your care in mind. Our new ED waiting area includes newmodern furnishings, flooring, lighting, remodeled bathrooms, enhanced security, and a larger, more inviting registration area that enables quicker check-in and triage. The hospital’s new Fast Track area offers nine patient beds that are double the size, as well as an expanded and centralized nursing station. And our ED is staffed 24/7 with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and specially certified nurses, as well as direct access to a variety of specialists and resources.
