24/7 emergency care Full range of services available to you when you need it most A VISIT to the Emergency Department (ED) can be stressful. Minutes seem like hours when you are uncomfortable and anxious. When an accident or illness happens to you or your loved ones, Dameron Hospital’s ED is here to care for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our wide range of services and capabilities allows us to assess and address cases of critical illness, traumatic injury and other emergency conditions. “From the moment you arrive, through your entire care process, our team of medical specialists is committed to giving you and your family the best, most efficient care available in a safe, comfortable environment,” says Eric Cornwell, MD, chief medical officer of Dameron Hospital. Patient-centered care Dameron’s Emergency Department was designed with your care in mind. Our ED waiting area includes modern furnishings for comfort; antimicrobial flooring to stop the spread of germs; spacious bathrooms; enhanced security for safety; and a large, inviting registration area that enables a quicker check-in and triage. The hospital’s Fast Track area offers nine patient beds with rooms that are double the size of the prior Fast Track, as well as an expanded and centralized nursing station with staff to get your minor illnesses and injuries taken care of quickly so you can go home and rest. And our ED is staffed 24/7 with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses, with direct access to a variety of specialists and resources to get you the treatment you need, when you need it. Wide range of services and capabilities Dameron Hospital offers our patients a broad selection of emergency medical services, including: Triage. The triage process helps our emergency staff decide which patients should be treated first. Patients with critical or life-threatening illnesses are given top priority. We make every effort to connect you with a physician or care provider as quickly as possible. For patients with less severe injuries or illnesses, our Fast Track speeds up Eric Cornwell, MD, Chief Medical Officer the process so that the patient can be treated and discharged quickly. Fast Track. The Fast Track area of our ED is equipped to care for patients with less acute illnesses and injuries competently and efficiently. The Fast Track is separate from the ED and is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. It is staffed by medical professionals who can provide the care you need faster so you can go home and begin feeling better sooner. Diagnostic imaging. Dameron Hospital offers in-house, advanced imaging technology to enable doctors and staff to make quicker diagnoses so you can get the treatment you need as quickly as possible. Diagnostic tests may include X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine or other radiology tests that will help your physician decide on the best course of treatment.
